I live in Wyoming, lived here 36 yrs.
Just got the drip rail I ordered from CCOT. Ordered on 8-01-07. Took this long to get it, had a few phone calls along the way wondering when it was to arrive, seemed to get the run around the first two phone calls, then talked to the manager and seemed to get the truth. Anyway after pulling it out of the box it appears to be a top quality build. I will put it together and weld it and let you know how it fits, but so far first impressions seem to be an excellent piece of work.:)

I recently ordered some misc stuff for my 62 from CCOT. Had a taillight lens arrive with a chip in it. People at CCOT shipped me a new one with out busting my balls about it (making me ship back the broken one or filing a shipping damage claim with UPS, etc.). My impression is that CCOT seems to get customer service better than most.

I ordered the front part of the rain gutter from them years ago, and like you it took a little while to get but is a good quality piece.

What kind of sealer and rivets are you going to use to reattach the the cap to the rain gutter?

My first contact with CCOT was disappointing too. I got classified as "abusive" for threatening to expose them on an internet forum for what I considered to be "grossly excessive freight charges". This classification meant my emails rebounded unread.
Anyway 2 good things came out of it.
1. I found out they were really "good guys" after phoning the manager and getting the freight charges greatly reduced, free goodies (compensation I guess) and the top quality stainless hood hooks and other things I had ordered in real quick time.
2. I got introduced to internet forums (because I never make idle threats) but it took me a while to find "friendly IH8MUD". I started with Pirate and had bad experiences. But that's another story. (I never mentioned CCOT because the phone call sorted it first and I didn't need to go further).

I have my doubts.

I have been doing business with CCOT for 15 years now, in fact my rig came from them. I recently ordered some window fuzzies, one of which was mangled. At first they wanted me to file a complaint with UPS and they simply blew off for my request for compensation as if the whole thing was my fault somehow. Unless their prices are substantially lower, I won't give them any more of my money....

The rivets I am going to use are the aluminum solid rivets, where you put a dolly behind it and set them with a air hammer. Like I said about the drip rail it looks extremely well built, just hope it fits together as well as it looks, I feel confident it will.

i would love pictures of the rain gutter install as I am going to be doing this in the next few months.

Ordered the aluminum rivets and seam sealer from CCOT for my hardtop restoration. But the rivets they sent just seemed too big.

Measured the holes in the drip rail, and it appears that 1/8" is the correct diameter. So I went to McMaster-Carr and ordered a bag of 100 solid aluminum flat base rivets along with the rivet set tool ($20) and will hopefully re-attach the hardtop to the drip rail next week.

Will follow-up with pics and steps involved in the process...

I Live About 15 Miles From Ccot. I Just Drive To The Store When I Have Money Burning A Hole In My Pocket. They Have Always Been Very Nice To Me. They Tell Me 98 Percent Of Thier Business Is Mail Order. When I Went They Took Me Over And Let Me Look At The Owners Rig, The Green Fj 40. They Let Me Walk Through The Warehouse And Look At All The Parts When I Come In. Good Experience For Me Every Time I Go. Just My 2 Cents.....
