Finally got out to work on the rig again. Its been awhile since I have driven it and wanted to get her going. But here is the problem - the clutch pedal will not go down more than a centimemter. Looked around and the fluid level is good on the clutch master, no leaks or anything (master or slave) and the connections, springs etc look good. The clutch and the master itself are fairly new - within the last two or three years - OEM also. The only thing is that I have not driven her for a few months - last time may be two months ago. The clutch felt a little tight when depressing then. I moved the gear stick around and that moves freely and engages the gears.

I also have a nasty mud bug bite since they have decided its their home.

Any help appreciated.

Eyeballing it isn't going to fix it; you gotta do some diagnostics. Get under there and remove the slave rod and then see if it moves. If so the fork or TO bearing are frozen. If not, disconnect the master rod and see if you can depress the master cylinder manuall and check if the pedal swings. If you can't depress it manually either the master or slave is frozen. Disconnect the hydraulic line and try the master again. If it won't move, then the master is frozen.

sounds like the thrust bearing is seized to the shaft but do the diag tests the pin head has pionted out earlyer. If it is the thrust brg I would replace the spigot brg at the same time
