I was looking at craigslist for junk and came across a post for a 6HP 2100PSI pressure washer for $30 the next town over . Guy said the gas tank was leaking and hes not a handy person and it comes with a new H.P. hose and wand . I picked it up and the gas hose was all cracked and hard from the tank to the carb. so I pulled off the gas cap and with the smell I knew Id better clean the carb and tank . Figures I didnt have any 1/4 hose line so I'll pick some up for $1 .
I was able to get it to fire on carb cleaner so If all goes well I should have a good running unit tomorrow .
An hour of time, $1 of hose a couple of cans of carb cleaner I hope to be golden .

I cant wait till next year when everyone who bought generators this year pulls them out and it wont run because of bad gas so I can swoop them up on the cheap ;)

I installed the new 5 inches of fuel hose and it started right up . I'll need to revist the carb as it will die when the choke is fully off but with it left on a little it ran fine .
I used it for about 25 mins and I'm happy with my $30 and $5 dollars of carb cleaner and hose .
I have more $$$ in the tank of gas I bought for it then the parts and supplies I needed to get it back in shape .

 Thanks again Mr "I'm not handy" Guy :grinpimp:

Finished

I picked up the new carburetor and took about 10 mins to put on .Started right up and runs like a champ. No more having to run it with the choke on . The place tossed in a free rebuild kit for the old one as they don't use them anymore as its now cheaper to just replace the whole thing . 10mins to R&R with a new one then spend 1 1/2 hours shop time cleaning the old one and it might not work still .
I figured what the hell and pulled the old one all apart and re-cleaned it and the new gas helped loosen up some of the crap I was unable to get take care of the last time .

Gave it a really through cleaning pulled all the parts off and removed the choke and throttle shafts with a nylon brush, good carb cleaner . Installed all new gaskets, needle and seat and the rest of the little parts .
I put it in the box for the next time (so that means My wife will be tossing it out when I fall over dead  )
Here's a few pixs one of the unit , the rebuilt carburetor and the gas line that made it cheap .
I feel I did OK for $75 with the price of the unit and parts to fix it

Where's the bug? Under crap somewhere?

Yeah, I'm still around once in a while. Just sold the LV, so am temporarily cruiserless.

Bug is under the Corvette ( had to start thinking in cubic feet for space )
You need another 80 , I got a cool ARB roof rack and tool box that will fit right on :grinpimp:
