The main principal of Capitalism: The "seller" can ask any price he or she deems appropriate and the potential buyer always has the option to not buy the product. Seems simple enough:)

That price is ridiculous. You can get the 6.5 for 3k, a 80 series for 5-7 and the conversion shouldn't cost more than a couple grand. That leaves you 35k left.

Maybe you guys can tell me what you think about this. I'm always amazed when I see a rig that has, like this one, tons of great stuff including motors and trannys with very little mileage up for sale. What causes someone to go to all that effort and expense only to then decide someone else needs to own it??

And for 50K, the roof top tent is not included.

Agreed!

I've wondered this myself and I think more or less it is either a life changing event that causes the sale, wasn't what was expected from the build or the build was the adventure and now it's time to start over. I've heard my share of "what your selling it already"!

As an Oregonian I can tell you we all piss wine and s*** gold. Cars are not the only things over priced in Oregon. Fuel, Food, Labor, and worst of all property prices. Wouldn't be surprised if he got the 50K for it. If he puts "runs on WVO" it automatically goes up 100% in Portland).

Copy that! Bet he took 45K and had to throw in the tent. That really was funny how it wasn't part of the deal. All that other stuff but no..no.nno..... No Tent For You!! :hillbilly:

That's a pretty good down payment on a higher end home.

And one negative of capitalism is irrational behavior. =)

I feel like this is similar to the guy who posted his FZJ80 on Craigslist saying his wife was making him sell it so he priced it at a ridiculously high price, saying it was a piece of junk, The only thing good on it was the head gasket b/c he changed it himself and took his time..

I saw that one...funny!

The owner actually posted it up for sale for $52K on Expedition Portal. It sounds like he owns some sort of off-road shop or equipment sales company. He paid another company "Columbia overland" to put it all together. Minus the complete turd of an engine he put in there and the complete lack of a mention of lockers "one of the most important add ons" it is a pretty sweet truck. I would love to have 70 gallons of fuel storage. Or maybe it is 75 gallons. Or maybe he is in Bend Oregon where he puts his home in the other forum, but he posts in both SF and PDX. Strange character.

Sadest part is he is selling to buy a Land Rover
