Another long story behind this one guys but I will spare you most of it.

The Good

This truck is a legal import from Canada with a clean title.

The 2H diesel was professionally rebuilt by a local diesel guru. I have all the reciepts. Over $4500 spent. Less than 3k miles since rebuild. It runs good.

The truck is complete and can be driven anywhere.

The interior is decent to good shape.


The Bad

The body is rusty. Its not gone yet but I don't feel like restoring it.

Alternator went bad but Its currently being rebuilt.

Needs glow plugs rewired.

AC needs a charge.

The Ugly

The frame is very rusty and rusted thru in several spots in the rear. You could conitnue to patch it but is not worth it to me. It is still structurally sound. I


It is driveable in its current state but if you buy it you should make plans to find a donor rig to swap the driveline into.


I'm taking offers for the next few weeks and the highest bidder will get it. I'd like to have the transaction complete by Feb 17th.

I just got stuck with way to much stuff and I'm trying to recoupe some $$$

I would keep this for myself but I have enough projects on the table right now.

They were talking about the guy with the screen name 'sven'...long story but there is a dealer in Asheville that has been buying almost every deal on craigslist and then re-listing the rigs for a LOT more...

Good luck with the sale if someone has a donor rig this would be a sweet swap!
 
Gotcha...is that the guy that was trying to sell a bj74 for 20k a year or so back?

If someone has a good 62 donor rig let me know...I might just keep it and do the swap myself.

I thought I had found one but too many parts were already sold.

I have seen some very nice FJ62's going up for sale for great prices lately (Dealer guy mentioned got one for under 1200 and posted it up for $5+ two days later on his lot). But I think you have something there and should try to stick with it. Understand times are hard thruout the country but in this gasoline crazy country a diesel really is a great rig to have.
 
sven here....dudes, I'm not a LC dealer

but there is one nearby in Fletcher that I mentioned in a thread somewhere on here...I wish I were smart enough to make coin dealing LCs, if guilty of anything, it is tire kicking although I've been serious recently with two LCs.....in my garage is just a FJ62 needing some maintenance ....if you want to see that guy's screen name, look under Classifieds a few weeks back.....this here rig would be nice to have in garage though as spare for mine..
 
I've seen a really nice two tone grey on in fletcher on CL. But the guy wants like $6900. Little rich for my blood. I'm looking for the $1200 special.

I've already got one diesel project in the works so I'm not sure when I would have have time to get to thi one even if I found a good donor rig.

No worries on the lot greg. I been widdling away at it bit by bit.
