well, good and bad to report, had a great time running gold bar mtn today and got some great pics, the views are amazing here. It was very cool weather, hail, then snow, then sun all through the day.
the bad is that last night a dead tree came crashing down on my brand new tent trailer. Right where my 2 girls usually sleep, about a foot wide trunk, my wife was in the trialer, but just got pushed over, nobody extremely hurt. I hate to think what would of happened if my baby girl was in there sleeping. Yup, no insurance and the RV park are being total asses about it. They want to give me $600 bucks for it, I had to deal with a police report and the owner tonight, a total mess. Unfortunately I won't be on the trail tomm, going to have to work all this out and try to get some local quotes on it to see if it can be fixed and for how much. The owner says he wants to work with me, we will see. The tree is completely dead and should of been cut long ago, all the other trees are green but they put us in that one spot. So, only one day of wheeling for me in CM, but better than nothing I guess! We have to leave sat morning. I am just thankful we are all OK.
Anybody know if rips in tent trailer canvas can be patched? and is it expensive? I know the canvas to buy new is expensive.
thanks,
Noah
