Celebrate Father's Day by ditching the kids/dogs/s.o./yardwork and join me and Peepers for a day of fishing.

Location tbd based on who is interested...choices range from easy picking for tons of warmwater fish to lots of work for a few trout.

Cruiser content--I will wear the "Toyota, 40 years in America" hat that I ripped out of Woytovich's hands at GSMTR.

Should be lots of fun...and, hey, it's carbon-neutral!!! :flipoff2:

Peeps,

Is this your way of saying that you are no longer fishing with me or that I should be driving to the Farmington?

sorry about that dave! i was always heading to CT for the day to spend it with dear old dad. are you getting out this weekend or has the window passed?

we all want some fish stories about the big ones that got away

I stayed local on sunday, as I am about to start a two-day business trip then the family vacation, so I did not feel like sitting in a car.

I buzzed a local stream that is reported to contain brookies...the water was gorgeous and cool, but the stream was so overgrown that I could barely move, much less cast. I gave up after about a half hour, came back the the house and then hit the Charles for a bit. The water is still high (or is that high again?), so some places were off limits without the canoe. Still, I managed the regular assortment of sunnies, calicos and largemouth. The sunnies were obviously still on their redds, and they were positively bursting with eggs. Some had torn up bellies, I assume from moving gravel (?). No big ones got away, because no big ones hit, but I got my fix for the week.

I spent the rest of the day on my bike and finally finishing and installing the new bumper. Pics to follow in another thread.

How 'bout you and your dad, Peepers?
