They made almost none 40 years ago.

You don't even know the make or model of the one sitting in front of you.

It has no front clip or doors.

Yet you're sure you saw a truck that looked exactly like this one across town.

I've heard that dozens of times between the 40, 55 and 45s. You have to go check it out and it's NEVER even close. The last one was a Ford medium duty from the late 70s.:rolleyes:

Except the one time it was the one that ended up being my first 55. That pretty much made it all worth it.

So I guess I'll have to schlep over to the other side of town tomorrow to see this blue and white 45LV impersonator.

It'll probably be my 55 sitting on the trailer in winter storage.
 
The last time this happened to me, I was driving a nicely restored Land Rover Series III 88" hardtop. The guy swore that there was one exactly like it sitting in a field. 3 hour round trip to find a 78 FJ-40....
