Only reason I can think of is if you want to run Longfields. :meh:
 
Some add them to reduce wear and/or vibrations. I'd never do it. In fact it was one of these part-time kits that went bang on my buddy's 80 on my last Gap trip. No thanks!
 
What was the problem?

That was my 80 on John's site. I wheel pretty hard from ACT08, Rubicon, Moab, etc and this is my first failure. Per Slee 2nd known failure. I have 35's the other had 37's. No birfield breakage to date:clap: Easy to replace the hub. I put the part-time kit to rid some vibrations in front end after a lift and to save wear and tear after longfield conversion. If your not having issues save the money. Not a bad thing, but I would spend the money elsewhere unless you need to upgrade to bobby longs.:cheers:
