Hey wanted to make you all aware I found a place to get brackets to mount a York compressor on a F/2F motor. Looks like they have brackets coming out for other Toyota LC engines.
-link is www.kccruiser.com can run either a GM or a factory alt. with this-
* I may need to explain myself, a York will allow you to have a engine driven air comprssor under your hood, this is handy for running air tools, lockers, airing up tires, whatever you may need air for on the trial! Think there are 3 models of yorks.
Since I found this site wanted to post so maybe others could use this in the future.

60Guy,

What York model or models are recommended? On what vehicles can they be found? What is a good price? Could a York fill an air tank for airing-up? tools? That bracket looks very well made.

Check some of the air supply sites like oasis air, I know they have 12 volt compresors & I think some yorks brackets & supplies.
As far as air supply-had a friend who ran a shop out of his 62 with a york doing repair work on cars. If you add a tank it helps reduce the compressor having to work as hard.
I can see a order for one in the future-group buy???

Hey just found someone discussing this issue in outfitting section-check out the post CO2 vs OBA... useful links.

There are several different models and configurations of yorks...
Most commonly found on older Volvo's.

Download and read the service manual in tech, and the other pertinent articles. Search on cruiser tech for more info. I've started a few threads about the topic.

There are some more desirable yorks, which are 10 vs 9 in displacement. The service manual shows how to tell from the part number. You can buy rebuilt yorks from Napa, IIRC ~ $100, what is nice is that you can specify the model number and get the exact york you want.

KCcruiser's brackets are nice, have been using them for well over a year.

Search around, there is a lot of info. This is a very worthwhile mod, it is very nice to have air with whenever you want it.

Noticed this thread and thought I would pitch in my .02.
I think some of yall are coming to Tellico MLK weekend, my 40 with the york setup will be there.

EDIT: Here is the link for service manuals http://www.ccicompressor.com/SrvcManl.htm
