I recently purchased an Echo CS 325 ? slightly used. I took it to the farm to try it out, cut some mesquite and it worked flawlessly for about 30 minutes or so. I was alone so I would cut up a branch or two and shut it down, clear the area and stack the wood and start over again. After about the 5th or so time of doing this it started, acted like it was starving for fuel and died and hasn't started since. What I'm reading on the net for trouble shooting are two issues, spark arrestor is clogged, or the muffler is clogged. I checked the spark arrestor but there is no evidence of one and I haven't taken the muffler off of it yet.
So, I will remove the muffler today and see if it is clogged with carbon or keep my search on for the issue. BTW, it does have spark and the plug looks good and the switch is on.

Thx

UPDATE:

Took the muffler off and it's fairly clean. I believe there is no spark so, could it be just the plug even tho it doesn't appear fouled or is it the internals?

thx

I think you may find the problem in the fuel system. The filter may have gotten plugged or the fuel line/hose may have developed a pin hole or a crack or it may have turned into a tar like substance.

If you are using a higher than normal concentration of ethanol fuel, it may have softened the diaphragms in the carburetor to the point they do not work. Let it sit for awhile or overnight and the alcohol should evaporate out of the carburetor. The material the diaphragms are made of has changed over the years to help eliminate this problem.

I didn't think to check the filter. you just pull it out by the hose right? I know when I go to push the prime bulb it doesn't fill very quick so it is plugged somewhere? I'll go check

Thx
