But not a newb :flipoff2:

Just picked up a used 01 100 series...pretty gucci compared to my 67 40 :D

DVD nav, all that stuff...It has 4 DVD screens in the backs of the head rests and a seperate rear DVD player and wireless headphones. The kids can watch DVD's on the 4 screens and listen either on the full car stereo or the wireless headphones.

On the DVD Nav screen I can either watch what they are watching, or put in a different DVD in the console player and watch that (yes I know about liabilities of watching a DVD in the front of a moving vehicle :) ) Pretty neat setup. It's going to get detailed today, as it's a little dirty inside.

Sweet! And welcome! :flipoff2:

Oh wait, you're not a newb. :flipoff2: Anyway!

Don't forget to remove your hood spoiler...

welcome!

that has to be close to the ultimate videomobile... :)

Welcome, FJBen.

Is there any practical function of the hood spoiler? Is it to keep bugs off or just something that has no practical use at all?

yes it does keep bugs away at while cruising...atleast most of them

Also deflects rocks / debris that would otherwise hit the front of the hood.

Slick DVD setup. What brand / size monitors are in the head rests?

mine is gawking at yours with that video set up. I need to remember not to pull up this tread when my kids are around.

Always wondered why some bash those deflectors so much - with all the rocks on the colorado roadways it prevents all those nicks in the front and helps with the bug washing. Anyone have one that wants to dump it - I will pay the shipping.

If you have not driven mid to late summer in Minnesota, you have no idea how many bugs your windshield catches in just a few hours of driving. There are times when so many bugs hit the windshield at the same time that it feels it is raining (only happens for a second or two, but it is crazy when it does). Maybe it is not too surprising when the mosquito is your state bird :D .

Plus the rocks like you guys mention.

It actually does have value here then...

Congrats Newb!!! :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Now don't go claiming the last Rear bumper for a 100 that Christo has out there. Thats on my list.

Maybe I should hurry before you decide to snatch it up, huh?

Congrats again, you'll be a very happy camper!

I'd rather wipe a ton of bugs off the windshield every half an hour than have such a... :princess: thing attached to my Cruiser.

Nice screen setup, OTOH.

lol, yeah it's pretty bling...my kids are really loving this...It's quite the trick setup actually. The DVD player in the back is a Panasonic unit. The front is the Toyota JBL setup. The screen size I believe is 6" and panasonic...will have to check on that. I can tell you that they aren't as nice/crisp as our Alpine setup, but that was also newer technology. The kids haven't complained ;) ;p

This is the :princess: ride...I drive a 40....topless everyday :grinpimp: So you all are a bunch of :princess: :flipoff2: But for trips and full family hauling...I'm going to love this!

Nice setup.

At first look I thought that it was a photoshop job on the headrests until I looked closer and saw the stitching.

Definitely makes you the popular dad with all the kids - I don't have any, but I seem to always drive when the coworkers want to go out for lunch...

Welcome to the board!

I wouldn't remove the hood spoiler on the truck. I have rust in the rock chips right at the spot where spoiler covers. The only rust on the whole truck.

You guys are cracking me up with the hood deflector/ornament discussion!! My '93 80 never had one, my '99 100 had one and I hated it because I could never get the soap out from under it SO...........I had the dealer remove the bug shield from my '05 100 when I bought it two years ago. Hence, I have rock chips on the ***ing hood. OK, so I ordered one a couple weeks ago, (currently installed), and they inadvertently sent me two bug shields. Guess what? They don't want the extra one back. If you will send me a shipping label and have a carrier pick up the package, a brand new bug shield is YOURS!!!

Also, I removed the running boards from my 100 and would like to find a home for them. I'll post pictures on a new thread.

Give me the address and I will send it out today, or can I have fed-ex pick it up?
I'm nor huge on the looks, but in southern Missouri farm country, those things make a world of difference.
PM me
