Saw Steve today, decided to try the 60 length drag link tube he had in stock.

I had a rough measurment and was expecting it to be somewhere around 3” too long due to the narrow 55 frame vs 60.

I set the toe rough zero and centered the pitman arm, somehow if anything this is on the short side!?

I’m of the mind to run it, will have more than 30mm threaded in on each end.

The one thing I thought of - this is full droop so at ride height it will get a bit shorter once adjusted.

Comments?

I would run it knowing that when you’re at normal load or running stance it will probably have a little less exposed threads. I’m sure there’s people out there that are way smarter than me on this that should commenting.

Looks good to me. I would have expected it to be on the long side also, but the pics you have there make it look pretty close. What’s the method for securing the TRE’s to the tubing?
Thanks and yes the length caught me by surprise.

That is the factory tube, it’s threaded inside and I have the clamps that tighten around it.

Or with that much thread you could run jam nuts if you can find a left-hand version.

Been getting mentally closer to putting this thing on the ground…which means I need non riveted rims and some rubber.

So I’m all ears on what other tire I should consider, this is current leading option:

Small progress, the Saginaw mount is as good as I’m getting it, clears the hood by lots now. Finish up welding & paint next.

I need some correct bolts and will do up nice spacers on dad’s lathe.

Was helping son a bit today while he stripped the front off his parts car, still has to fix his daily.

I went with those based on feedback I read on this forum. It's about the only game in town if you want a 33x9.50-15. They are just stacked up waiting on the rest of the pig to get reassembled - but they look good sitting there.

I would think there are plenty of used OEM rims available, if you don't want to go aftermarket. Of course shipping to Canada might be a deal breaker.

Like the Ford 😉😎. Whats the gold car in background 🤔🧐
That his big 66 Parklane Breezeway, it’s waiting on frame repairs and 390 mechanical rebuild.
