Crown Vic a 5.0 or 5.8 🤔🧐😏
That was a 351W, he had a lot of fun with it till it bent the pushrods, we fixed that and it went away.

The Blue Merc has a 351M in it, but it needs some love, seems to have a posi too 👍🏻

Was a great day here so yardwork was task at hand, I did slip in the shop and get Pig progress - both PS brackets done & painted.

Got 5 of the 33x9.50 Kenda on their way this morning too.💸

I made mine out of 55 and 60 series pieces.
This is what I did too. I welded a 60 and 55 drag link together with a machined coupler with the correct ID on each side. drilled both sides and plug welded too. It is temporary(we all know how this goes) until I get my other axles ready swap. Then I'll Rough Country Kit a Link and tie rod.

Not the freshest date code but all 5 match, gets the juices flowing having these in the shop!

I had bumped the heat in the shop before dinner, went out and got 2 coats of paint on @Gimme a 60 3FE PS bracket, so if I get shop time this weekend I can hang and torque that, get a belt measurement. Progress.

Steve got back to me with the painted quote on rims…below half price of the tires, said yes!

Probably be a bit but it’s no rush honestly.

Saginaw pump was still sitting 3-4* off from the other pulleys after finish welding (and painting) the brackets so I did a deep dive with all my measuring stuff. Turns out the thick flanged nut I was using as a spacer was the culprit…couldn’t see it with my eyes so was super f*cked finding it🤬

Anyways pump and alt hung, next up is string measurements for belt lengths.

Shop day, after a very late night with :princess: at her girlfriends house party, was 2am arrive home so I guess 3 😳

Daughter came out and helped me get some belt measurements, so that was great.

Old belt looked original 😳

I pulled the the brake master and old steering shaft, slid both the new Bogesen universals on to get a shaft measurement. Here I am going to ask questions of those that have been there done that.

I slid them on until the set screws lined up with the factory groove, too deep?

The instructions say to cut both end if going less than 17”

I need 15” but am hesitant to cut the inner shaft, seems like I don’t need that much compression nor do I want that inner shaft all the way out for use?

What say you?

Cheers

If it all clears and works I would leave it and run with it. You can always adjust it later after your test drives.
