Anyone know what kind of cable the faceplate uses (Yaesu FT-8800r)?

Is it Cat5? Regular phone cable?

How about the Mic?

Both are "straight-thru" 6-conductor phone cable with RJ11 connectors on each end.

RJ-11 is only 4 pins, the faceplate remote cable is actually a 6-pin conductor, which makes it an RJ-25. Yaesu charges waaay too much for that cable, I was able to make one with some CAT5 wire and a couple of jacks I found at Radio Shack, using my RJ45 crimper.

Thanks, I've got wire spaghetti that I need to clean up. I figure trimming down the wires to shorter lengths will help some.
