Hey Mudders! :flipoff2:

This year me and my family are going to fell our own Christmas tree in the Mendocino National Forest (a permit is required, $10 by mail or stop at a local Ranger station). We are either going the weekend of December 7th or 14th for a day trip. The day depends on who else wants to go and the weather.

We'll be headed up from Novato, breakfast on the road, lunch on the trail, home for dinner is the plan, but we're flexible.

Post up if you're interested and lets see if we can get a group together!

Count me in!

Looks like we will be doing this Saturday if anyone wants to jump in last minute.

Here's some pics from this weekend's trip. Our timing was perfect. It snowed overnight about an inch in Ukiah up to around 6" up the mountain (as far as we could get before a jeep slid into a tree and the recovery blocked the road). Made for some fun snow wheeling!

If anyone else has pics of getting their Christmas Tree, post 'em up!

Thanks landcrshr! Awesome day trip!

If anyone is interested, I have an extra tree permit. Free to the first one to PM me.

Merry Christmas!

Yeah, what a perfect day!
Thanks for not posting pictures of me getting my rig un-stuck!

That sure is a nice new truck you've got, did real well in the snow.

Here's how they get a tree in the big city...not quite the same experience! LOL

You're probably just as likely to sustain body damage in a HD parking lot!
