WTT: 1997 Subaru for FJ/BJ series DD or project Tristate area
hey,
i've been searching, posting, and looking around for a while, with hopes of trading my DD for a FJ or BJ series, and finally figured it might help to post.
i'm really looking for a DD, but that extra project/rig you have sitting around that you've been trying to get rid of would work as well. eventually going to do a Turbo Diesel project, so tahts why im saying a BJ series would work as well. im going to run Biodiesel/SVO.
i've always been looking for a FJ/Bj40, but 60 series are becoming more appealing with the trips ive been doing, from mountain biking - rock climbing - snowboarding, etc.
sooo. taht being said, here's what i have to offer. copied from my craigslist ad:

thanks and take care,

now, pics.$4300 --- 1997 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport AWD, 5-speed 147k highway miles. New clutch and timing belt done at dealership (standard Subaru procedure) at 120,000. I really don't want to get rid of this car, it has never broken down, let me sit, or any problems whatsoever. It's an awesome car.really, i question myself every day for why i want something else. mainly for biodiesel/SVO reasons.
Only problems: (cosmetic)
-dent in front drivers fender -- deer. banged out to shape, rattlecanned.
-dent in front passenger door/fender area -- my mom decided to back into my car when pulling out of our driveway. doesnt affect door at all.
-rear hatch rubber gasket/seak thing that covers where the wires go into car is cracked, so if it rains very hard it sometimes leaks into hatch area. quick fix, not that big of a deal, just havent gotten to it. part is maybe 1" in diameter and 4" long, im ordering from the Subaru dealer this week.
-rear drivers side window goes down but doesnt go up correctly. i think the track is missing a screw. i'm going to look into that hopefully this week. crazy work schedule
**** people who have been interested seem to be worried about the "body work" that needs to be done. i've driven this car for 10k miles or so with the dents. its inspected and insured. nothing needs to be done
Has aftermarket no-name racing seats (grey) because stock seats wore out, 2002 Subaru WRX 16" rims, painted dash parts, clear corners, leather shifter boot, 4" cold air intake into stock airbox, and JVC KD-SX780 CD player/headunit. rear doors are home-tinted because i'm in a band and didnt want people seeing my equipment in the back. this can easily be removed. Could include sound system -- Jensen A300HLX 300watt amp w/ Kicker Comp 12" sub, Alpine SPS-120A 5.25" front door speakers.
Thule bike rack is not included, but Subaru has stock roofrack. can include bike rack if the vehicle you're offering has bike rack.
