My truck has set for 2 days. I got in today pumped the gas three times like normal with no choke. I let it warm up for a minute before backing out of my spot. I drove about 200' and hit the A/C button on the dash. The truck dove forward breifly as if I had slammed the brake and then released it immediatly. As it dove a tremendous grinding sound that lasted only a moment came from the engine compartment. I can't duplicate it now. I'm going to park it and see if it does it again.

Any ideas of where I look. Belts are new and tight. Maybe compressor is shot?

Thanks my hommies

check for somthing that siezed up...my guess would be the compressor. check all the over goodies as well. loosin the belts and see if you can turn it by hand.

Sounds just like lowtide wrote, your compresser seized up.

HTH

I am going to take a stab here and say no....

nope...even tho the compressor's already seized and you won't damage it any more than it is, you'll toast the belt pretty quick.
