check the ground on the idle solenoid. especially on the harnsess, down by the firewall side of the wheel well. my harness was worn through from rubbing to the point where the solenoid wire was worn through, making contact against the bare metal of the well, then not, wreaking havoc on my idle.
also, the choke. every year i disconnect the choke wire at the carb, pull the wire up out from under the hood, and drip 3-in-1 down the cable.
