Dang, our meeting is the 15th! That's ok. I'll drive out and have a beer with you. I bet I can twist Butch's arm too. Someone more familiar with the area needs to pick a place.

sounds awesome! got hotel reservations and am signed up for class. should have car reservations by end of the week and no clue when corporate will get around to flight info. we requested to leave denver around 4pm on the 12th, so figure time to get from the airport to the hotel and include time to get lost

or weds, we're supposed to be out of classes at 4pm, classes are about a mile or so away from the hotel (can't remember the name of the hotel, but it's near some six flags mall?). course last time i went to classes i got kicked out so i may be out earlier. if any of the parts engineers are there, count on me being kicked out early.
thurday, i'll be done at 4, but probably flying out around 7, so that's out.
i'm pretty easy on bars, divey local places are my faves. i prefer no fern bars, no gay bars and no titty bars. if they have greasy clog your artery on the way down food, all the better.

Seriously, there are a number of franchise places in Arlington. Six Flags Mall is on Hwy 360 near I-20 in south Arlington. TP or Taco Tim would know if there's a good bar in south Arlington. My place is 8 miles west on I-30 in east Fort Worth, about 10 minutes from you.

You said 12-14 but mentioned flying out on Thursday. What day do you want to go out? If you're still here Wednesday night I can do that. Wife is working Mon and Tues night so I'll have the kids those nights.

oops...my bad...flying out weds. 13th is when i'll have the most time. arrive mon at 7:30 pm, leaving weds at 6:30. if these classes are like most, usually out by 4pm, so that doesn't leave much time weds to get to the car turned in and get outta there.
thought about asking for another day, but we lost one guy to jury duty...murder trial and they're saying he'll be out all next week also, fired one guy and me gone, so we'll be three people short next week. not good when you only got five people

had a blast at dinner with nick! don't know how y'all handle the heat and humidity. even though i was dead ass tired one night and blotto the next, i couldn't sleep even with the ac cranked...came back to 35 degree weather and slept like a dream.

hehehe...we were talking about that on the way home...ron said he was glad it wasnt' august.
the training went very well and i made it off with some good books.
i was a little thrown off by the fact that the instructor anticipated my every move...turns out my boss called and warned him.
it is nice to be surrounded by straight guys now...can't remember the last time i saw so many men in comfortable shoes.
