Anyone have any problems with the power door locks not working properly when the temperature goes above 95F?
My wife first noticed the drivers side lock not operating properly, while using her remote, a couple weeks ago while in the desert. This week the same thing happened to me except today it progressed into various other door.
Example: when you turn the tailgate lock twice it usually opens/closes all the doors, not anymore just some of the passenger door, and which one unlock vary.
Only constant, drivers door only works manually.

Hi,
it has never happende to me, though it has seen over 42ºC (107 F). I hope it's not your Body ECU failing... this could happen if there was a leak in the windshield and water dripped on the electronics under the dash. But it doesn't seem to be the case since the problem only appears at high temp.

BTW, please put some info about your rig in your signature (like year, mods, mileage, etc.)

Get an electrical system test. Battery and alternator. Often the body electrical equipment shows electrical system weakness before other components. How new is your battery ? You can also put the battery on a tricKle charger overnight and see if it helps.

A new remote battery works wonders too but it sounds like you were describing problems when operating by hand as well.

Check your battery connections, grounds ect.

locks

Pretty annoying isnt it? Mine has been doing the same thing lately. Started w/ driver door, and now pass door, the rest work fine. Havent had time to look into it, I assume something is corroded, as the passanger went to partial lock initially, and now no-lock.

I had this exact problem on my Volvo. I greased the rods, checked the electrical, etc. When it came down to it I think it was the battery getting weak. After I replaced it (it died for good), I never had another problem.

This started happening to me a few weeks ago, never the driver door though. It varies on which door(s) it will do it on, either a partial lock or no lock. Has done it only twice now, then it suddenly works ok. In my case, it happened while sitting inside the vehicle trying to lock all of the doors.

I'll take the advise on getting the electrical system checked, but I just put in a new Optima battery last summer...

I run dual optimas

I run dual optimas, and it still does it running or not. ill let you guys know what I find when I get a chance/

On my 99, when the sun shines directly on the hatch or the driver's door, the electric solenoids go weak and I have to resort to the key in the lock for the driver's door and crawl inside for the hatch. No problems with the other doors.
It probably doesn't help to have a black exterior. Once I drive around for 10 minutes or so with the A/C on, they work again.
I try to avoid parking with the door I want to work facing the sun.
Someday, I'll replace the offending parts unless someone has a better solution.
And, the battery is new.

No issues with heat. Until the past week, pretty much every day since early May has been 100-111F outside, and it's more like 120F in the garage. I keep the Odyssey PC1700 on a trickle charger 24/7 since the rig only gets driven once a week.

Same problem here . Driver door only locks manually with key. No remote, no door switch. Took it to dealer said it was Door Lock Actuator. Warranty expired 9 days ago :mad:. Part is 525.95 :censor:

The actuator is what it turned out to be. I just use the key now.
