now you're just being picky...
that forerunner in NC would be perfect

I think its a sign from the gods, you post that you are looking for a 55 then the prettiest 55 you could find pops up for sale...

I'd be selling everything I could to get ahold of that bad boy...

can always throw a 2F in it later as a class project.... :D Got to start with something...would not have to fight rust and stuff at least...and be able to focus on interior and then engine and tranny later.

If I was shopping for a 55 or something that didn't have to be a DD, i would be sellign anything I could to get that 55. An engine swap and 4 speed is about the easiest thing you could do to that truck. the stuff that keeps a rig in pieces for 3 years has already been done. An engine swap takes a weekend.

That's no excuse, now money would be.:) And yes David, that 4runner would be perfect, but I am sure it will sell very soon at that price. The SAS alone would almost cost as much as the whole rig. Plus you could do a 3.4l swap really easy to down the line or a 22re if that floats your boat. $2500 is a nice start for a capable wheeler that still needs you to do some work to get it where you want. My vote is 4runner, and quite stalling.

Blah blah blah blah blah that's all I hear..just kdding. You all make some good points but I am going to pull a bessinger and stall for a while after all its me looking for something that I want and not u guys. I appreciate ur comments, gods know some of u like to give it even if I wasn't asking for it (sarcasim). Like I said before I'm in no hurry and don't have the money quite yet.

That's Tristen Bessengerstein, right?

I like that one Jeremy...Thanks for looking. I having a much better time finding 4Runners in my price range and I would pry have more fun wheeling than a 55. I wont buy until I have the money so it be a lil while guys but I do appreciate the finds.

I have my 89 4Runner up for sale. I know it's not a 22RE but the 3.0 only have 12k miles. There isn't any rust on the body or frame. If you're interested PM me.

Steven

There's a few cheaper 1st gen 4Runners on C/L right now, you're going to have to around 200 miles to get them but they're there. I saw a few that I consided getting but I already have enough, one being a 84 4Runner.

Here's a 87 that'd be a good wheeler,
1987 Toyota 4Runner

The 84,
1984 4runner 22r 4x4

Here's a very good 89.....LOL
1989 Toyota 4Runner

I use craiglook.com to search C/L.

Good Luck
