I am looking for a friend of mine and prefer the dual burner but a single would be fine. PM with any info.

Thanks

I would discourage my friends from using any tent heater unless it has an outside vent. And maybe even then.

Thats exactly what the Zodi is. It uses a heat exchanger and a small fan. The propane burner is outside and the air pulled through the exchanger, heated and pumped into the tent.

I've used the Mr. Heater Buddy heater for four years now in our tent with our children. It is intended for such purposes. It has a tip-over shut-off as well as a low oxygen shut off. We keep a battery operated CO detector in the tent, but it has never registered over 0 ppm.

Last year we upgraded tents from the Cabelas SUV tent to the Columbia Cougar Flats II. After a couple cold nights with the Buddy Heater running on high, I decided to upgrade this year to the Bid Buddy (twice the BTU rating with a built in AC/battery operated fan to move the heat).

I've also used the heater in hunting blinds. They do not tolerate wind, so they need to be indoors or they will extinguish. However, when they go out, the gas shuts off.

In the operation manual for both heaters Mr. Heater says that they are not intended for use above 7,000 ft. I didn't notice this until I was shopping for the Big Buddy last week. However, I rarely camp below 7,000 ft., and I've never had an issue with the heaters operation. That being said, I usually use a 20 lb. tank when camping.

Buddy Heater ~$85
Bg Buddy Heater ~$125

Good Luck!

Skylo, you will probably have better luck reviving one or two threads on tent heaters, not 6 of them.
