I am starting to look for a frame for my 01/82 BJ42. I purchased the vehicle as a project in the Summer of '06. 6 weeks later, I had the roll bar punch through the rear wheel well of my other BJ40 and discovered that the rear tub behind the B-pillar was no longer attached in any way to the frame. Given that this is not really a safe vehicle and it was my daily driver, I then had 2 projects...
Cutting a long story short, the '82 BJ42 T-boned another vehicle that ran a junction before I bought it. The frame is bent and banana'd, the rear is rusted away. I thought I might be able to repair (I could) but it is more prudent to start looking for a new frame.
I'm looking for a straight frame from a diesel donor (preferably) of the same vintage. Surface rust is acceptable and I'd prefer a diamond in the raw as opposed to a tarted up frame. That way I can see the frame for what it is and I'll be doing my own restoration.
Here the starting point...

and yes, I know I have a lot of work to do...
I'm in no particular hurry as my 12/79 BJ40 is the current project.
Thanks. Regards,
