Wtb: Fj40

Hello all,
I‘ve just joined the group in hopes of learning more about and eventually buying a FJ40. I am looking to for a late model (76’ and up) to use as a driver as I don’t do much off road driving. I hope to find one with disk brakes, power steering and maybe even factory air. And of coarse, I would prefer a truck with out major rust issues and that is complete as possible.

I’m not in a hurry and would travel within NC, SC, VA, GA and eastern Tenn. to find a good one.

If anyone has one they could recommend I would be grateful.

I don't have a firm price in mind as it would depend on the vehicle, although I would like to spend no more than 5 to 8K. Even at the high end range I may need to sell one of my other cars first.

Because of rust, I've even thought of trying to find one in the southwest and having it shipped. I have a 64 Alfa Romeo spider right now that I 've bought out of state and had it shipped.

I went to NE to get my fj45 so i know what you are talking about there.

There is one here on the lemon lot here at Bragg that is in decent shape. He is asking to much for it, but you might try and talk him down. It is older than you want but it has disk brake front and looks to be a 2F in it.
