I loved the 3FE with 35's too! LOL
Those 32's I sold you... never liked the way the thing rev'd the engine going down the interstate....
3FE's are not built for 70+mph interstate

The 305s are a little shorter than the 285s.... What maybe 1/2 inch?

What you really need on that thing is a supercharger, and I know where you could find one.

Bfg ats wear like iron and are smooth on the road but will frustrate the stew out if you in any kind of mud.

Very true, I have first hand experience with this. I'll probably have them swapped and then make a decision. The MTR's will be eaten alive on the the interstate in short order. If the old truck sells I won't be in as much of a hurry to sell the 315's anyway - they can just live in the same spot that all my extra military tires live now.

The hieght calculator is just used says 305s are about 31.6 and 285s are about 32.8... Could be wrong though... Regardless it looks pretty good in the pic.

Weird - calculated manually I get 32.8 for the 305's -

305 MM in inches = 12.00784 * 7 = 8.4055118
285 MM in inches = 11.2204724 * .75 = 8.4153543

but that doesn't really matter, on the bfg site the 285d tires are 32.8, 285e is 33 and the 305E(only one listed) is 33

Yeah I calculated it as a 305/65....

The one's your running will wear out eventually. Bury the others for later. Unless you have something else in mind as replacements down the road.

For clarification, the spare underneath is a 285 BFG that's never seen the ground. I figured and difference between it and a 305 would be negligible and I wanted the narrower tire underneath.

Excited to see this truck put together the way I wanted it!

Thanks Garth, I think I am going to get the 305's put back on and start looking for an extra set of 16's to mount the 315's on. I'm excited to get to work on it, I just have to get my 92 finished up and sold first.

How many 37"tires did you end up with that are out of round or damaged?

Sent from my Droid thingy using IH8MUD

I have 8 tires now. I bought 5 originally, two were replaced and one of those was then replaced. The four on the truck now are balanced ok. I know one on the front needs more weight and the spare didn't balance well on the first try.

Are you 2F'ing me?!
I want this thing! but I don't want it for 2500!
