Hello,

Thanks for the lead. FYI- prior to your response from this thread I did find your post on Criagslist so I would think you are generating some good interest from that. I am also considering a 1994 or 1995 conversion to diesel. I would prefer something that hasn't been started and is intact, possibly one with a blown engine or on its way out, yours is a considerable candidate. Are you considering parting out, ie maybe the engine? Understandable if not. Do you have more pics of the cab etc? Thanks.

I plan on building the exact truck your looking for this fall...It won't be a toyota diesel though. Using a cummins engine. I can can build one for you if you like. I'm located on the outer banks. Send me a pm if your interested.

LRIwater...is this your conversion that you are selling or did you just find it on craigslist? on a completely different subject...is the piggup still running. Still can't believe I missed that thing.

build one.
i suggest you get a body/chasis with a 5speed, and get a mercedes 5cyl turbo diesel adapter plate from defiant4wd and start looking for an old merc 300d

Thanks for the replies. I guess build it or find it built is what I'm going to have to do. I guess it leaves the door wide open in terms of what kind of chassis. I was looking at the early 80s as this seemed it might be the easiest rout, but if it is just as easy to build one from the 90s (sunroof would be nice), then I'd go for that.

I will PM you both if you don't mind. Thanks much for the help.
