My mechanic pulled my engine appart and the problem was a bearing on one of the connecting rods. The bearing went and eventually ground down to dust, there was nothing ther. When the took the oil pan off there where metal filings in the pan.

The crank shaft and 1 connecting rod are shot and we are looking at a oil pump as well asuming that the filings got into it. I have priced the parts as well as replacement engines and it would be cheaper and less labour to drop a repalcement engine in.

I am looking for a 2L TE for a RHD, the old engine had the head replaced with a 3L and a high volume water pump that I would swap over to the replacement engine.

Does anyone have a 2L or 3L engine, it would have to fit into a Right Hand Drive 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. I am in New Brunswick, Canada.
 
Does anyone have experience with JDM Engine Depot

I am looking at a replacement engine for my Right Hand Drive Land Cruiser that I use for Mail delivery. I have come across JDM Engine Depot in New Jersey. I lost money earlier this year trying to by a Helux from a company over the internet who took my 50% deposit.

What company was that? I'd like to know so I know who NOT do business with.

The company was Milano Canada and the owner name is Christopher Robert, if anyone ever heres anything about him let me know because he is not answering email or phone and the address he gave looks Bogus.
 
I ended up buying a used engine from JDM Engine Depot to replace my engine that had the bottom en go on it. When I got the engine we found the engine had the same problems as my old engine and the oil was thick as TAR. We ended up rebuilding the old engine

I payed 2900 for it and I asked for a refund but they would only give me $500. I had payed for it through PAYPAL and could have gotten at least $2000 back, buy after I was dinked around by JDM I found that the 45 day period was up. PAYPAL is set up to take money out of my account, but being that there was not the funds there they billed my MasterCard. This was the one good thing that happaned, I put a dispute into MasterCard and they refunded me the money. MasterCard took the money back from PAYPAL and Paypal then takes it back from JDM
