So been putting off replacing my front beam in the Ghia for a couple reasons. Mainly I don't have all the tools handy to make quick (or should I say quicker work of it).

Talking with Jesse, sounds like I can use some of his shop space for day if anybody wants to help.

Basically it is (to my knowledge, never done it)

Remove gas tank
Remove tire rods and steering linkage
Remove old beam
Remove spindles from old control arms
Install spindles on new control arms on the new beam
bolt the new beam up to the chassis
re-connect the new shortened tierods
re-connect the steering

oh and the disc brakes are involved somewhere in there too.

Late June weekend? I will provide beverage and food.

Anyone want to break a vDub?

Guess I should note it's a new custom 4" narrowed beam. All new parts other than the spindles and brakes.
