Putting this out to see who is interested a wrench day on saturday Nov.12.

We can host at our house again. Our driveway can handle 2-4 trucks at once along with one in the garage if needed. Plenty of parking on the street as well. I have a pretty complete tool set along with 2 large floor jacks. I can borrow some bigger jack stands from our shop at work if needed as well.

Who still wants to do this?

I'll be there. What can I bring?

Looks like its a go on having the day. I also posted it on the FJ forums as a few of them are interested in being involved with us also.

I am likely in as well. I have been baselining my 80 and need to replace hoses and do a radiator flush/refill. Will be doing the PHH (pesky heater hose) as well. If anyone else needs to do their PHH, I bought 4 pairs of constant tension worm gear clamps from McMaster-Carr so I can use a silicone hose. The PHH only requires 2 clamps, but I didn't want to pay shipping for only 2 and figured others would need them and would only charge the actual cost of the part (11 bucks for the pair). Now the trick is finding a local source for the 5/8 section of silicone heater hose. I tried NAPA and 2 other auto parts places in San Antonio. NAPA is supposed to carry the Gates Green but told me they would have to special order and the minimum order is 25 feet. Ouch

The PHH is only 55mm long.

Not sure on where to get the silicon hose around here. I bought the kit from a MUD member that has the hose and clamp. Im surprised gates green stripe isnt a stock item.

Looks like my left front axle seal is leaking again. Im on the 2nd seal and it keeps freaking leaking. Its too involved for a wrench day though. Now im pretty sure it may the used inner axle that may be worn down as the seals are going in fine. I have another inner I can swap and see if that fixes it. Im thinking Im gonna bedline the body sides on the wrench weekend.

I would love to go and meet everyone and learn whatever I can. Thanks for hosting can you please let me know where it is. Thanks marc
