Alright looks like based on the poll the wrench day will be at my house.

Our address is 6002 Royal Point San Antonio TX 78239.

Ill be outside and ready to go at 0730-0745 or so.

I have a large jack, 2 big jack stands, 2 smaller stands plus a set of ramps. Air compressor thats will somewhat run an impact. I also have an electric impact. Pretty full selection of tools as well.

Lunch we can order and have delivered or Julie will go pickup. Ill also have the Norcold fridge running for putting your beverages in.

If you plan to change any fluids please have containers to take the old fluid with you for disposal on your own.

Im planning to do a brake fluid flush on my truck and maybe swap the alternator pulley.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone and making this a success.

I'm in

I'll be there early. Wanted to flush brake fluid and chase a P0401 code. My son qualified for state finals so I will need to leave around 3:30 to make it to Dallas that evening.

I'll bring another jack and pair of heavy jack stands in case they're needed, and my multimeter, soldering iron, heat gun, and other assorted electronicsy tools.

I'm going to try to stop by for a little while. Unfortunately, I found out that my wife has to leave town for three days. So I will have to watch after our kids while she's gone leaving little time for wrenching.

Mainly, I'd like to come by and meet some of you guys face-to-face.

I should arrive around 8:15. It turns out I can only stay for 5 or so hours (depart at 1:30) due to kids' commitments/events/stuff.

Looking forward to it.

Do we have a back up plan if it rains? It might be a good idea for people to log in to this thread in the morning for any updates/announcements if the weather has gone south.

James

I have a backup location just down the road from Bart's house.

4710 Perrin Creek, STE 380, 78217

I have a bunch of parts to install. :D

You still bringing the power brake bleeder?

Yes sir - bringing the power bleeder

Weather radar looks clear so I think we're good to go at the house. See y'all shortly

Thanks guys (and gal) for showing this newb a great time at wrench day. I learned so much.

Thanks Stan for buying lunch, thank you Kelly for the good conversation and quality beer supply, and thanks to Bart for having us all over to your place and letting us dirty up your driveway & use your tools. Thanks Brett, Kevin, and Cody for slaving away at that awful winch mount design, and thanks Mike for the awesome tips and pointers. Thanks Brett #2 (I hope I didn't get the name wrong) for the bandi-mount and lead on the lower link skids!

If I can ever help out with your IT/Computer needs, I'm here. I may not know anything about mechanics (give me some time), but I know how to push buttons and click a mouse. Also I would love to host the next wrench day at my company's shop if you'll let me.

Now, can we do a day trip to HF some time soon? :D

What a fun and productive day. My 80 is very happy right now. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Next wrench day at FJBen's :bounce:

So sorry I missed the wrench day! It was my wife's annual Girls Weekend with her lifelong girlfriends and I had both kids and a full day of activities.

I wish I could have been there as I ended up replacing all of my ignition system by myself, but while replacing the distributor o-ring I got the crank out of position and had to redo it several times before I got it right...what a pain.

Anyway, I still need to replace u-joints and do a valve adjustment. Hopefully, I'll be able to be at the next one. Cheers!
