Does anybody know of a wrecking yard in Phoenix, northern Arizona, or Tucson area that has an '85 4Runner or truck? I am looking for a part that is not showing up in dealership schematics. The part I need is called a push style hose unit. It fits in the thermostat housing.

85 4runner

I'll be looking this week for a mid-80's 4runner to snag the inclinometer off of it, I'll let ya know if I find any in Tucson and you can see if they have the part for ya.

Yeah, good luck with that! I mean I wish you luck and all, but first-gen 4Runner inclinometers are pretty much unobtainium. Especially in wrecking yards. Plenty of places online to try and find, though.

Do you have a picture of the part? Have you tried eBay?

I looked on eBay and nothing.

There is a thread in the mini truck forum that I have posted some pictures on.

Not "inclined" to spend that much

How much you wanna spend?

$325 on eBay

$250 on ebay (Blue)

Crapload more on ebay I searched for "toyota 4runner inclinometer"

It's a toy of no great use to me, but to put something in where the cubby above the ashtray used to be. May end up simply using it for a CB mounting - figured there was more 4runners than LC's' that came with it in NA, might make it easier and cheaper than buyin the OZ inclinometers. Thanks for the headsup.

Yeah, well that's about what they go for. In this day and age of the internet, pretty sure every single wrecking yard knows what's unobtainium and what's not. I'd expect the inclinometer to be removed instantly by the wrecking yard and sold separately, unless the tow truck driver doesn't steal it first.

There's a bunch of smartphone apps that are inclinometers. Pretty accurate, too. I have one on my droid that even looks like the Toyota one (although it's been taken down, Toyota probably balked). Most have pictures, of jeeps though.

I've seen cool dash top displays on the 70 series with an altimeter this would be cool IMO. the FJC also has a dash top cluster. Also could be a good place to mount a GPS.

I used to have one of those in my 1984 Tercel 4wd wagon, so may be able to expand your search a little. I think it may be different than the 4runner version.

Yeah, but no altimeter... :meh:
