hahaha, what an awesome deal 
sounds like he's trying to sell a legal battle with his mechanic. looks like he's done a lot of work but theres still much work to do. poor guy
"I need to add $5000.00 to the price of the vehicle...for the engine." If only he hadn't put 5k down with the guys at the "Special Mechanics" (rhymes with special olympics), then it would be 5000 less. It wouldn't have an engine, but there would be 7k in other improvements, except for the top.

Am I crazy? Since when is fiberglass part of the roof? 
This is actually one of my favorite threads. If only there was some way to reverse the order of those pics....well he'd have a redone Fj 40 worth aprox: 33k. Instead you have pics of what appear to be a clean FJ 40 going to a roofless, unpainted, and finally no engine or transmission FJ 40. He must be baffled and heartbroken

Something ain't right with that Craig's List Add... Too good to be true, then it probably is!! Probably $15k is still owed to the Mechanic who ain't gonna let the car go until that is paid or something... Too strange!!
