Worked on Norma Jean this week

Well the goals for NJ this year went out the window and were replaced by a whole new set of goals, But being on vacation this week I got quite a bit done on her, seats installed,seat belts,carb. modified,Jets modified,found out my gears in the front end don't match the rear,learned I need a "vacuum Advance" vs. "vacuum retard" distributor,got her licensed,I'm learning a lot.

I've got a 71 fj40 front axle you can have if you want to take the gears out of it... Unless you have the newer fine spline axles it should work. No idea what gears it has though. But it should match either one or the other that you have.

Well I think the front end us 3.73,(its off a 79 cruiser, the back end is the origional (I think) but I know its 4.11,and fine spline, my question is, can I take the gears out if my origional front end and put them in the 79 front end that I have on her now?

Looks like the ring and pinion will swap over but you may need to mix and match stuff like spider gears and pinion flange. Definitely doable though.
