WOoooo HOOooooo, Got my new Glock today

I'm so excited, I just cant hide it, you know, you know, you know...............I forget the rest of the words.

I have been waiting FOREVER for my new gun to arrive. I just got it today after bugging the hell outta my local gun shop owner about where it was..........


Glock 39 / 45 GAP. For those who dont know what that is, it is a .45 round in a smaller casing so the grip is smaller for people with little girly hands like me.

Cant wait to shoot it.

The recoil on www.glocktalk.com is amazingly calm.

The people who have bought the Glock 37, 38 and 39 have almost all said they enjoy shooting it more than their .45ACP's and .40 cal. handguns due to a less punchy or snappy recoil.

The reasoning on the better bullet ballistics test after test is the shorter bullet casing. It is MUCH more stable than the longer ACP casing so it has more velocity and better controlability.

The reason I went with the GAP is I have little girly hands but stilll wanted to have to have that .45 power. Basically, all the Glock GAP guns have the same size frame as the 9mm, .40 and .357 frames, just a beefier slide.

The dual recoil spring in the small glocks works wonders. I've shot it next to a full size .40 G22 which has the single spring and was amazed.

I still have ties in law enforcement so I got mine for a pretty good deal.

It was $460.00, that was tax and shipping and 2 Pearce +1 mag. extensions as well.

My wife and I have matching 27s(.40 cal.). Fits female hands well with grip extender.
I paid 520. each a couple of years ago.

Just for info. (in case you missed it) the 39 has the exact same frame as the 9mm/.40 & .357, so you get the small frame that fits little hands with all the firepower of a .45.

I know I had some people ask me to post up on how this thing shot.

The gun shot AWSOMELY. Smooth trigger, accurate, the recoil is not bad at all. I also shot a friends Colt 1911 today and it kicks less than his heavy steel gun (so much for the heavy=less recoil theory). I dont think the gun did too bad for me or for itself being as this is the 1st time I have EVER shot a Glock. Needless to say, I was impressed.

I FINALLY got a chance to go today to the range and blow off 150 rounds. This was all at closer range but as you can see the hole show I was consistant. I just need to bring it up to the red. I have sought out some help and found that I am slapping the trigger and milking the grip.....hence the low left of the red circle.

I know the gun is akkrit though from the hole. I feel VERY safe in saying that I shot anywhere from 80-90 maybe more rounds through that same hole. I let other people shoot the gun today as well, that is what the other holes are from. I quit counting rounds after about 50 so I dont know the exact count on how many went in the big hole but I counted up the other hits on both targets and it has to be in that range.

Fatboy, what I have found with my 27 in comparison to my .41 cal heavy revolver is that the glocks are harder to aim because the lightweight of the gun. the heavier gun is harder to pull off the target when sqeezing the trigger, but you get used to .
