Hi -

I ordered CV boots and a few other things from Wit's End on Feb 2nd, but the order status still shows "Awaiting Fulfillment". I've emailed Joey, used the Contact Us form, and called the number listed on the website several times, but no response. Is this typical? Is there a better way to reach them?

Thanks,

Yes, it's typical. According to Joey, he's recovering from surgery, from his e-commerce site being hacked and is massively backlogged with orders. I get the feeling he's overwhelmed. I have an "Awaiting Fulfillment" order nearly two weeks old now and the only way I was able to get in touch was making a Facebook post in the UZJ100 group, he told me my order was going out, but still no updates on the tracking number.

Wit's End is definitely controversial. Lots of established users here have Joey's back, others are at Wit's End with him. Google search will reveal the threads: ih8mud wits end vendors site:forum.ih8mud.com - Google Search - https://www.google.com/search?q=ih8mud+wits+end+vendors+site:forum.ih8mud.com

That's not re-assuring. I'll try to find the boot kit elsewhere and dispute the charge with my credit card.
Thanks

Witt end posted on Facebook the issues he is having and had said there is no way to track ordered. Paid orders or fullfiled order due to the hacking. They encourage people to dispute charges and then if willing wait until the site is functioning to reorder.

Yeah why anyone wouldn’t just buy from @cruiseroutfit i have no idea.

I've been to their old location in Murray (if I'm remembering right). Great guys. I've since moved to FL. I started with Cruiser Outfitters and the had everything but the boot kit in stock. Received it all five days later. Wit's End website showed them, so that's where I ordered.

Cruiserteq.com = Cruiser outfitters - quick, reliable and great support

I just got CV boot kits in the mail from Cruiser Outfitters on Friday. Fast and easy and everything you need. Their support was great when I installed their part time kit a couple years ago. Another thumbs up for those guys.

great of all days I ordered some items from Wits End, I have ordered before with no issues. I ordered the 2mm back space seal pusher. We'll see if it goes though. I also order from cruiser tech. Today as well, Jason is very helpful getting all the correct items.

Here is the issue with disputing the order....he is not getting back to the credit card companies so it's taking longer than normal. Ordered parts on Jan. 10, 2023. Been leaving messages regularly on FB, email, and on the e-commerce site. Giving him every chance as a small business owner. I am not buying into the fact his site was down. It's been up taking people's money and not living up to delivering goods and services.

Sure, life happens, but you're running a business, make it known well in advance there will be delays. When you set expectations, people are more forgiving. When you outright ignore communications, that makes you fraudulent business. If I am not refunded by the end of this month, my next action we be legal.

Wits' End has climbed into the dumpster of fraudulent business operations. They offered some great stuff for us 80 owners. Well, actually, just pictures of great stuff for us 80 owners.

I truly hope he can get his act together and make everyone whole in their purchases.

My experience with two orders has been fine. Just got one last week like normal. A fuseable link, and a 2mm recessed seal driver. So who knows.

You're apparently one of the lucky ones! Many other posting members have not been so lucky.

Maybe you should head to Vegas and capture some more of your good luck?

I've been on both ends of the spectrum with this. I ordered one part and had it within a few days. Ordered another part which was labeled in stock, waited a couple of weeks and never saw it. Emailed, got a response that it was out of stock, sent him a screen shot of where it STILL said it was in stock. I just asked for a refund and got it a couple of days later.

If you received an order recently as normal while other guys are waiting weeks if not months with no communication that's just more evidence that he is playing games....

I just don’t know. I guess for the time being I wouldn’t place a large order? In the end hope it works out, he has some interesting goodies. I’ve got no bone in this.

Placed an order on Feb 10, it was shipped out on the 13th and a great experience, while installing it I realized I needed another part he had in stock so I ordered that on the 16th. Since then no communication from him despite emailing, but after the first email the item that I ordered now shows as "not currently for sale". Anyone know how to cancel an order since he doesn't seem to respond to email even though he clearly reads them?

Update: Wits End Cancelled my order on the Feb. 17, 2023. Today is March 5, 2023. Certified letter sent, as Joey has one more chance to return the money. My warning to all, there is absolutely no communication with the seller.
