Hey everyone,

I ordered an Aux switch from air on board and it comes with four wires on the pigtail. One requires to tap into a 12v source to illuminate the face of the light switch. I plan to mount it on the left next to the mirror controls. Has anyone else tapped into a good 12v source for there switches? I want it to illuminate when the truck is on not constant. Thanks!

if its wired the way i think it is (1/Red - 12V Feed 2/Green-To Relay 3/Blue-Dash Lights 4/Black-Ground), best bet is probably behind the radio/cigarette lighters. that way you can pick up constant 12v/ACC feed, dash light feed and ground all in one hit.

Yeah it's wired like that. Here's the diagram. I was hoping for something closer to the steering wheel.

Any good access points through the firewall?? Preferably on the drivers side?

I just installed LED lights up front and put switch in same spot you are trying to do. You can run your wires through the firewall where the main wiring harness comes through on driver side. There is a huge opening but it's protected by a large rubber grommet that seals everything up. From the engine side, I poked a skewer thru the rubber cover, making sure I stayed away from both the existing wires and the edges (to avoid wire chafing). I then taped my wires to the skewer and pushed the skewer thru more so that the wires came out the other side. Was pretty straight forward and I was glad no drilling was needed. The existing rubber cover/grommet does a good job of sealing around the new wires you just pushed through.
