I’m in the process of installing a rear camera on my 2000. I have the passenger rear panel removed and access to the wiring harness. I can find the reverse bulb wire, but I also want a constant power source for the camera. Any suggestions? I have rear air if that makes any difference.

Its been a few years, but when I added a rear camera to my old 2000 TLC, I removed the drivers side panel, tapped the reverse wires that went to the taillights after tracing them from the housing and tapped the 12v factory power port on that side.

I thought about that but had already run the wire down passenger side. I just tapped reverse light for power and called it a day. Your method would be best though.
