I have a 93LC and I can't find the switch schematic for the rear seat blower in the FSM.

It's placed on the lower portion of the dash right above the shifter. It's a 3 postion low/high switch.

I've heard someone say something about a supplimental wiring diagram in addition to the FSM, maybe this is one of those cases?

If anyone simple knows; does this supply gnd or +12 to the back blower?

Thanks

lurker,
There is a Toyota Electronic Wiring Diagram (EWD) for each model year. You can order one through C-Dan, your local dealer, or the 800 number for ordering manuals from Totota. Search the archives for the phone number or make it easy on yourself and PM C-Dan.

The addition information would be found in the Electrical Wiring Diagram. What exactly are you trying to troubleshoot. Do you have a DMM to just check it at the blower?

All of my vehicles have a dead switch and since I don't use this blower switch I thought why not? I guess instead of just tearing up the dash I would first try to isolate a valid switch candidate first using the FSM.

I was going to see if this switch could be used for pin 11 to the ecu and still have the bogus high/low feature of the switch illuminate. I thought that this would be a good incognito feature to side line the thieves out there.

Thanks for the heads up on the wiring diagram (all roads piont towards CDan).

on a 96 the switch is on the positive side, it takes bat+ from pin 5 and connects it to pin 4 on high and pin 2 on low

when you order the EWD get the "New car features" manual also
