I spent most of the afternoon yesterday cleaning up a really bad hackjob of radio wiring in my BJ70 (85-12V). Finally I rewired the speakers, put a new ground, and I have the red ignition wire. Only thing still missing is a yeallow constantly hot wore from the + terminal of the battery.
Where is the best place to splice this into? will I need an in line fuse?

Also, does anyone by any chance have the radio install brackets of a 82-85 truck? I'd be happy to take them off you...

thanks for the help!

got the answers for the wiring, thanks!
any advice for the radio brackets? are these still available? otherwise I'll have to make one...

Not US parts, but they're just flat pieces of steel with a couple of tabs bent back. Shouldn't be too hard to make.
