Hey guys,
I’ve done some research and I can’t seem to find the wiring diagram for specific harnesses I am looking at. My ‘92 Land Cruiser shop manual doesn’t seem to show the color scheme for the wire looks either. I am trying to figure out which wires are the best to use for both a backup camera and a usb charger.
First: the backup camera wire is being run from the radio in front dash to the passenger side taillight as there is better accessibility for splicing a new circuit to the existing wire harness. I don’t know the original color scheme for fj80’s for this particular wire harness? I’ve listed a picture below. The wire harness was originally going to a speaker in the rear quarter passenger side.
Second:
Wiring up a usb where the cigarette lighter was. Just need to know which wire is hot and which is ground. I’m confused because there were a total of four wires going to it and I could not figure out why. I think based on the wiring scheme from my shop manual it was daisy chained to the clock? Not sure.
I attached pictures below of both wire harnesses which will hopefully better display what I am dealing with. I am merely looking for suggestions of which circuits to tap into and use?
Thanks in advance!
