I would think that the link and the motor would be clocked and so would the blades on the arms. But that would be my 72 your unspecified unit could be different. I'm sure the manuals would have any necessary procedures.
 
On my LHD 79 FJ40 (lower wipers), the wiper motor arm, when in the parked position, is at 3 o'clock, or pointed directly at the passenger mirror. Yours may be different.

Here's what I did in mine recently:

- Set motor to park (wiper on then off)
- set motor arm
- attach linkages
- set wiper arms/blades in the rest position

I'd suggest testing at each step to make sure you return to park position, and finally, your wipers don't wipe outside your windshield

If I understand correctly, on my '74 the wiper blades can be clocked when off and parked. I can't find info on clocking the pivot park point and the motor park point. It seems to me that they should go left to right in unison, but I'm not sure.
