If you can use a complete but slightly cracked version I will send mine.
It is being preserved with electrical tape but is in good enough condition to get measurements.
PM if interested.

BigRenoAl do you think Potato Launcher’s cover will suffice? If you need one that’s not cracked, I’ve been wondering if we should post up a wanted ad in classifieds. I’d be willing to kick in some cash.

Thanks fellas:cheers:

I am going to PM potato launcher and discuss the condition of his cover. I really need one in good enough condition to be used as a tooling model. I do have another avenue to explore for a master and that is a 3D printed one. JohnnyC has a 3D printed one with the mounting tabs and I was initially against this because I am not a fan of the visible build lines. I have it being modeled now. This model will allow me to make the sides slightly thicker which will aid in the casting process and part longevity but still look identical to an original. Your offer to help purchase an original is very generous and it may come to that...but not yet. It's a slow road, at least the way I'm fitting this project in with everything else, but I am making progress and we will have good parts soon. 'Mud sure is a great community with all the help.
Stay tuned!

Update:
I had the part modeled in SolidWorks and also had a master printed, but used an SLA machine as the print quality is infinitely better than FDM. The modeled part was initially identical to the original, but I had the sidewalls thickened up .03" and I had the small interference lip extended .02". I made a small silicone molding tool and cast the first couple of parts from 85A urethane.
I am very optimistic about the results. It snaps right onto the wiper motor and seems very secure. I actually had one on my motor for a weeks worth of field time with the windshield down while antelope hunting in Nevada and didn't have one issue with it. I even forgot it was there until after I got home.
I am going to make a couple more and send them to select MUD members for their evaluation.
If that goes well, I will start making them and offering them to this community. I will probably make a bunch of them and keep them until I run out. I really don't want to be making these for years to come.
