@BIG RENO AL
If you made any spares or ever find time to make some more, please keep me in mind. I'd dearly love to have one of your 71 style covers(no screws). I shoulda asked you a couple weeks ago before you kindly shipped me that other part.

Interesting. New York. :hmm:Paging @JohnnyC

I have mentioned before that I have an NOS cover that I have been holding onto in the hopes that someone would take on a project in an appropriate material. I know I mentioned it to Roger @Racer65 , and he said it was too small to work with. I could use about 20 of them for the motors I have on hand at the shop. The rest still have their :grinpimp:covers.

I'm working on version 2 of this now. Version 1 had a tooling issue . The material it is cast from seems good. Another coupla weeks and should have first parts. Keep your fingers crossed!

Still in need of a 71 snap on version. Anyone else in need? Wondering if this is still on your radar @BIG RENO AL

Fellow Mudders,
I am in need of a wiper park switch cover for a 1972 FJ40 wiper motor.
This is the snap on one not the one that screws down.
I understand that they aren't just laying around all over the place, so I want to make my own.
I will be casting this from urethane, so I can make as many as are needed, but I need an original that
is in decent shape to use as a master for the mold.
If anyone is willing to let me borrow one to use, I will return it as well as one of the new cast parts.
If there is a need for the part that screws down, I can make that part too. Not a big deal.
I appreciate any help with an original part.

I’m in need of a press-on cover as well.i found a cover with tabs. I was contemplating drilling holes for screws but couldn’t bring myself to try it... mine is a 1971.

I'm here I'm here!
I've picked up this project again a few days ago. Amazing how time flies when other things become more pressing. Anyway I hope to have some useable parts soon for evaluation. My apologies to anyone waiting for this thing to wrap up.

Do you need an OEM snap on version to copy? I bet we could find someone willing to send you one on loan.

I'm in need of one. Mine disappeared 40 years ago. I thought maybe I'd find it if I ever pulled the gas tank. Finally had to do that but no luck. Sure would like a replacement.

If someone is making them, I'd be in for a few.

65swb45 mentioned he has one earlier in the thread. I'll call him tomorrow and see if I can get it on loan.

Put me down for a snap on version, when they are available.

Yea, like David, a snap on version. I forgot to mention that.

The one I have takes the two screws.
