I'm considering buying some Tundra wheels to have winter tires mounted on and was wondering a couple of things:
- From what I've read hear Tundra rims will fit no problem with the possible exception that the front hubs are different and may cause a fitment issue with the center cap. Can anyone confirm this?
- I assume I can run the winter set without TPMs. Will I get a warning every time I start the vehicle or will it recognize that all four are missing and to ignor it? My previous car did this; if one was missing you got a warning, if 4 were missing it did not give a warning/error message.
- If I end up getting a set of TPMs for the winter set, will I need to get the monitors programmed to the vehicle every time I switch the rims? I don't mind getting the winter set programmed to the vehicle assuming it's a one-time only thing and it will recognize both the summer and winter set (although I doubt this will be the case). Anyone have first hand experience with this?
Thanks in advance!
