E.L., Michigan
We have no public trails that I am aware of in my area but I’ll see what I can find.
We do have a central location (DeWitt), heated barn with bathroom, and our house.
If my wife turns her back I might even build a LC test course through our land but shouldn’t count on it.

Anyone have interest in getting together between January - April for minimally some good conversation, food & drink?
We have room to camp (and can pull trucks inside the barn to camp if the weather is too Michiganie).

My top two date options at present are:
Feb 25/26
or
Mar 4/5

Since it’s winter and possibly a long drive, how many people would prefer to come and not bring their Cruiser?

Let me know your thoughts.

I'd be happy to come sit in a heated pole barn and talk cruisers! I'm in Haslett so only about 20 minutes or so for me. Dates to me are flexible so whatever works for others is ok. I would not be there overnight.

You could get a good turnout. Before covid we had a winter indoor gathering that drew a large crowd. We would drive down in whatever vehicle runs and fits the weather. Ed

Easy 1hr drive for us so we'll come for the day, problem being I won't know about Feb/March schedule until later this year or January.

We should be able to make it happen! If you have a heated barn, that's a bonus. Tools and we could make it a working weekend!!
I was thinking about a working weekend!
Meeting at the restaurant in GR was great and seeing the Toyota camper (can’t remember who owned that).
Sounding like a promising event!

36 x 56 with heated floor and bathroom with shower and laundry. I need to finish insulation and walls still.

Either date work better or offer another date?

Still good with either weekend dates but would prefer a Saturday.

Happy New Year!

Let’s go with February 25th for the Cruiser Barn Bash!
The barn is now insulated!

10am - ?
For those who want to stay the night we have options:
- Camp in the heated barn / camp outside.
- I have room for a few LC’s in the barn if you have an RTT.
- My wife makes me sleep in there sometimes so it’s pretty comfortable (and stays around 65-70F)

I’d like feedback:
Saint Johns, MI (15 minute drive from my house) has a new off-road park that we could run through for $15 per vehicle (to cover insurance).. or skip.
Lunch at Knob Hill Tavern (3/4 mile East of my house)
Back to the barn for camaraderie and weather/interest permitting- a fire.

Anyone hanging around after noon on Sunday will be tasked with helping to collect and split firewood.

If the weather sucks we’ll reschedule for March 4.

K9’s and +n’s welcome

@MichLC Feb 25 sounds like fun. I’m in. I’m not particularly interested in the off road park in winter. Lunch at the tavern and sitting around a fire or a gathering in your barn would be great. I’ll caveat my interest with concern about Covid; if it blows up again this winter I won’t be socializing at all. Thanks for the invite!

BTW, your PM inbox is full and won’t accept new messages.

Sounds good. I updated my account so when it catches up I should have plenty of space.

We'd like to join, I'll know for sure in a couple of weeks when my travel schedule is locked down. We're only an hour away so it'd be a day trip for us. Good with doing the off road park, and also good with just hanging around with everyone. Thanks for putting this together @MichLC!

Excellent! Hopefully your schedule will allow for it. I’m hoping for a good turn-out.

My wife has a ski weekend scheduled so the dog and I will drive down as long as no snow bomb/winter cyclone hits. Dog is friendly, I'm tolerable.
