Location
outside if possible
For those interested I will be leading a winter/snow run.:bounce::bounce::bounce:

Time and location to be announced based on what the conditions are.

I would like to get input from the members as to what dates will best suit everyone.

The run will not be a stuck fest like in years past but more of a challenge and scenic. I am open to a BBQ/burger type lunch or stew/soup for warmth if people like. Pot-luck style?

Just ideas...

Please post up the date that you can go. This will be a single day affair preferably a Saturday.

I will try to accommodate everyone's schedule.

Date range between 21 January and end of February (except pres. day w/e).

Thanks for posting up! I won't be around last weekend of Jan or the first weekend of Feb but don't have plans any other weekend. I like the idea of a potluck. I'm happy to bring a dish or beverages!

Sounds great! Duly noted and thanks for pony-ing up for some food!

next...

I would love to go and meet some new faces if you guys will have me. I am free the first two weekends in February, otherwise on-call and would have to pass. I am happy to bring food, snacks, beverages whatever is needed. The stock inverter in the FJ powers my crock pot nicely lol.

Are there set dates yet? I'm interested also, but like RyanR, I may be on call as well.

Still to be determined.

it is set

The Winter Run 2012 will occur on Feb 11, which is a Saturday. Place to be determined pending to weather.

Plan on an all day event requiring winter dress and preparedness both for vehicle and self.

I don't want to have a stuck-fest like in years past but rather a enjoyable and challenging run.

Ideas for location are Baxter pass, Dome Plateau, Mesa, Uncompaghre, Fruita reservoirs, or ??? I'm open to ideas so post up.

once the time gets closer I can give more details and where to meet.

Awesome, I will be free that weekend. I may still be running the stock 265/75/16 BFG AT KO's or I may have some 285/75/16's on by then. Will these be runs appropriate for a stock vehicle? I don't want to hold anyone up.

Bummer, I will be on call. Should be a fun trip!

You should be fine on the tyres. You should plan to have good tread and/or chains.

Dome plateau

The location of the winter run will be Dome Plateau in Utah. Be sure to join us for this amazing and beautiful trip.

this trail is suited for stock vehicles. there may be changes in conditions due to elevation fluctuations.

We will be departing from Einstein's Bagels on RimRock Dr. GJ at 0800h. Be gassed up and ready for a full day of fun! I expect to be back in town around 1700h +/-.

If you have any questions please post up and I will try to answer them.

This should be a great trip so plan on attending!

Planning on attending, need to get out of the ol' cabin and go wheelin. So are we doing a potluck or BYO?, I'am fine with either. Doug

Man, I stared at that Google map for hours. I can't figure out how snow tires or chains would be required :)

Is it locked in for the 11th then? If so I will be there pending major life crisis or incarceration. :grinpimp:

Plan on BYO food as it will be a full day of travel.

Unless you're cookin for all:rolleyes: just kidding.
