As one of the "lets do the harder stuff" instigators. I can say I dont have much intrest in the really difficult stuff, especially on the first day. I refuse to trailer and will be putting 1000 miles on the truck and another 600+ the following weekend. I really just want to see the parks and get a feel for them and just hang out. As for the other guys, I know Gumby's shake down will be this trip and he wont be going nuts. Clint is cool with whatever. I cant speak for Carl but noone follows Carl....his line choices are....well....interesting :flipoff2:

I drive much differently when I by myself. I've been to WaSheeta a few times, and am perfectly comfortable with everything I've seen so far. There are bypasses on a quite a few of the obstacles, BUT just about the whole park is an obstacle. It's my favorite place I've been.

I figured that you all would probably wait until SMORR to let it all hang out to prevent carnage on round one. I was just wondering.

I'd very much like to run SMORR.

Reckut - You've ran FN and Wa$hita. How's it compare?

Even though we spent the day at Washita, we only made one trail. Took all day to go front to back of park. FN is more back an forth on top of itself while Washita seemed to be long and spread out. I like the big out cropping of rock to play on. Wahita seemed to be much more even on its trail ratings. If its a 3, its a three most of the way through, not just two hard spots and the rest trail driving.

SMORR is long and spread out like Washita. The biggest difference is it has very lose soil. Its easy to start digging in so the trail are very quick to change. I started back in November trying to map the trails for gator and soon realized that they are completely different in just a few months time. Smorr has lots to do for easy to hard core wagon, but then it jumps to buggy only. Not any real rock climbing but then I dont know any place other than Disney that has that in this area. I spent a day with Woody there in his 40 tying out things I cant do in my wagon and he had fun. Found several spots he could not make it up.

Here is his note to me.

as you said, there is a pretty quick jump from a 4 to the 5....not a lot it seems for the 'hardcore no damage' types and little 'rock crawling' other than the climbs...but for the 33-35" crowd, there are a LOT of trails in the 4 and under range...

for a TLCA event where the majority of folks are wanting to wheel, its a good spot...not much for the 'big' guys tho, unless they like the climbs.

facilities are top notch tho, and as Niner noted, that would be a great spot for a Jeep Jambo as well.

I think you will like it. I like it better than FN, but I have been to FN enough That I am kinda tired of it. Come on out fathers day weekend and give it a try.

Yeah MoJ, come out and play on fathers day!!!

I'll be at Wa&hita with the girls on Sunday. I'm planning on doing a Tablerock/SMORR combo weekend for the 3rd leg of the journey.

Can't make 2nd leg at FN . I highly recommend trail 10 at FN. I was on it on TAC and had a blast. There are some great obstacles off and on the trail. I actually like it better than 4 downstream of the campground.

Good to hear! I'm a little surprized you haven't been there yet, one of those things where plans keep falling through I guess.

Update: I talked to the owner of Was hita and anyone with our group that arrives after 2:00pm Saturday and is staying over night and wheeling Sunday does not have to pay a park fee for Saturday but must identify themselves as being with the Hoosier Cruisers/ Winy City Cruiser UA.

We have not finalized our arrival time yet as we have a caravan of 9 or 10 rigs coming from as far away as north east Indiana. I will post up when I know more.

The :princess: 's relatives live 20 min away from SMORR...tried a few times but they're only open every other weekend. Depending on the timing of the kiddo I may or may not make it.

We will be arriving around 5:00 pm on Saturday as a group and will set up camp before any wheelin' is done.

Anyone that arrives after 2:00 pm and is camping and wheelin' Sunday is reminded that they need to identify themselves as Hoosier Cruiser/ Windy City Cruisers so they don't get charged for a park fee Saturday.

Any Pics yet?

When is the planned arrival at SMORR. I had some parts that didnt make it in until monday so I didnt make washita. Will be out at smorr this weekend with marty. oddly enough its "chicks in the sticks" event at smorr this weekend. Guess we might see MoJ afterall.

Vicky and I are planning on getting there Thursday night. The rest of the group should be there too from what we discussed. SMORR said they are open for camping Thursday night but the park will not be open until Friday.

Sweet. I can't wait to go there in September

sltcruiser Steve,

We sure could have used your saw at Wa$hita with all the trees down from the storm damage we had to change direction numerous times. :)
