So I have removed the side molding on my windshield to "fix" it. The side molding consists of three pieces, Moulding #2 and Moulding #1, but Moulding number one has two pieces, the long curved piece and the flat rubbery piece that lies flat in the trough on the roof over the drivers door. The two parts press together and then you glue down the flat rubbery part. The curved part has four metal tongues that correspond to four slots in the rubbery part. But my tongue and slots do not align, they are not even close, if you align them at one end the final tongue is almost completely out of the slot at the other. PO had a s***ty windshield job done, now I am wondering if the parts are simply wrong. Anyone run into anythin like this?
