So I need to replace the windshield on my 80 series and was wondering where you guys recommend getting it done?

He recently did my FJ55. Nice job.

Murf has a guy they use, they have the proceeds down for the 80 series so no leaks I'm happy to report after almost 3 years. Nice and dry.

Many thanks for the info guys.

How about 100's Murph? Getting a new one in before I put her up for sale. Currently not cracked but several chips.

Their long-time installer has experience in all Land Cruiser models except Fj40's which go to Bell Glass. They just fixed Otters 100 windshield that was botched up by another glass company. As far as how they are designed, LC (and FJC) windshields are unique install-wise and can be tough to the uninitiated.

Like a good technician makes a repair shop, the installer makes the glass company in my opinion.

Just made an appointment with Jason for my 100. If all goes well I will have them do the 80 next. I have USAA and they are authorized. The company name is Lone Cactus Glass.

Be sure to report back after the install(s) and keep this thread updated. I've got two LC's that need new glass now. They did my 80 previously and it took a couple attempts but in the end it was done correctly and they fixed the problem. Other than some sealer residue left at the fender area likely from a finger or hand print it was a clean job and I would recommend Lone Cactus.

I've talked to several other shops and glass techs and either they have zero experience dealing with Land Cruisers or they simply will not replace windshields in many Land Cruisers and have plenty of other vehicles to work on.

I need a new windshield for my 100, got a nice crack growing. :-/ I'll make an appointment soon. Thanks!

Thank you for all this info...need my 100 screen replaced - not surprising after 18 years!? MUD and CSC came through again. 👍

Jason’s guy left for another job for several weeks.... BUT has returned, so Jason’s guy is doing Land Cruiser windshields again.
